January 1, 2010

is an important date for all churches giving financially to retirement accounts to staff as part of their compensation package. By this date each church must:
  1. Have completed a Rules and Procedures Contribution and Eligibility Form.   Each church needs to retain this completed form for their records to show legally they can contribute to their employees retirement account with GuideStone.

  2. Have completed an Authorized 403(b) Provider List for Southern Baptist Churches Form if your church gives to any other 403(b) retirement account other than through GuideStone for their employees.

  3. Have a Retirement Plan Compliance Officer.

It is important to have this completed no later than January 1, 2010 to be in compliance with the new IRS regulations.  You'll find links to these forms below, along with a booklet to assist you in understanding your responsibilities to your employees and your church.
